What is a P2P CDN?
It is a video delivery network in which viewers watching the same live stream pass each other the video segments they have already downloaded. Your server delivers only part of the video; the rest travels between viewers, so you use much less bandwidth.
Will my viewers notice anything?
No. The video is the same and looks the same, with nothing to install. If a viewer finds no neighbors or a segment doesn't arrive in time over P2P, it is downloaded from your server as usual, without interruptions.
What do I need to use it?
A website with live video in HLS (.m3u8) and the Clappr player. You add our script and your identifier; your video server stays the same. If you use a different player, write to us and we'll help you integrate it.
How much will I really save?
It depends on how many people watch the same channel at the same time: with hundreds or thousands of viewers on the same stream, 80% to 90% of the traffic usually goes between viewers. The panel shows your real savings minute by minute.
What counts toward my plan?
Only P2P traffic, that is, what your viewers pass to each other. What your servers deliver doesn't use up your plan.
Can other websites use my account?
No. The CDN only works on the domains you add in your panel, and to add a domain already used by another account you must prove that it is yours.
